Calgary Area Resources

Wellspring Calgary

Wellspring Calgary is a community-based support centre offering non-medical supportive programs and services that meet the emotional, social, practical and restorative needs of people living with cancer and those who care for them. All programs, services & resources are offered free of charge and without a referral. Wellspring Calgary offers unique workshops, classes and individual & group support services designed to help those affected by cancer to regain control of their lives. These programs are delivered by professionals and trained volunteers – many of whom have gone through an experience with cancer and have overcome many of the challenges cancer patients, caregivers, and their family are facing now.

Health and Wellness Lab, University of Calgary

The Health and Wellness Lab provides a number free and fee-for-service programs for cancer survivors. The majority of the programs are at the University of Calgary but there are some programs run in locations throughout the City. Contact the lab for more details.

Cross Cancer Institute

There are a number of different programs offered at the Cross Cancer Institute to support you through your cancer journey. Visit the Alberta Health Services website for up to date information.

Misericordia Hospital Healing Connections for Patients with Breast Cancer 

​Provides education and support for people going through breast cancer surgery.
After breast cancer surgery, patients meet for a half day every week for three weeks with various healthcare providers, who provide information and support on topics about their breast surgery patient care journey.
Healthcare providers involved include: Dietitians, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Support Visitors
